In a good matchup it was the Caracas Leones 5, the Dominican Republicans 3 at
the ballpark.
Caracas had the game winning rally in the 8th inning when they tallied 4 runs
on 3 hits. The key offensive moment was provided by Milton Bradley who
silenced the crowd when he bombed a two-run dinger (his 7th of the season).
Dominican threatened in the 9th but their rally came up short.
Tim Harikkala(4-1) went 2 and 1/3 innings allowing 1 run for the win. Scot
Shields recorded the save, his 5th. Eric Milton(5-8) was charged with the
loss.
Caracas now has a record of 39-35. With the loss, the Dominican ballclub's
record is 30-44.
